Penang trip: Part 1

The Cheong Fatt Tze mansion was my first sight-seeing stop for the trip. It is also known as La Maison Bleu. The mansion has 38 rooms, 5 courtyards, 7 staircases and 220 windows. Cheong Fatt Tze was a powerful Nanyang industrialist and he was known as the 'Rockefeller of the East'. Do participate in a guided tour as the tour guide would explain more about the mansion especially on feng shui.

Next stop was the Pinang Peranakan Mansion. This mansion is a typical home of an affluent Baba a century ago. Guests are allowed to photos of the interior of the mansion and I did not miss any chance snapping anything, from tiles to kitchen ware to antique furniture. Here I posted some of them.

It was great fun to see lovely display of antiques and fantastic architecture. Hope you have enjoyed reading this entry. Tomorrow, I will post on my thrifting finds. So, stay tuned! Have a good week ahead.
