Pradasphere, a special exhibition exploring the universe of one of the well known designers of our time; Prada. The exhibition was held from 19th November to 5th December 2014 at Pier 4, Central, Hong Kong. Pradasphere is a collection of archival items arranged to reveal complex, often intertwined, obsessions of one of the world's most influential brands. The exhibition was divided into six different sections featuring diverse materials such as historical artifacts, products from the company archive, films, textiles, images and ephemera.
This section was all about the origin of the brand. Prada was established by Mario Prada in 1913, in Milan. Prada was an exclusive, stylish store selling luggage, accessories and luxury goods, in fine, rare and luxurious materials and of sophisticated workmanship. In 1919, Prada received the warrant of 'Official Supplier of the Italian Royal Household' and this earned the right to use royal Savoy coat of arms and knotted-rope insignia of the House of Savoy into its logo.
In this section, many beautiful dresses of different designs and concepts were displayed; showcasing the designer's creativity.
An array of beautiful pieces constructed of various materials.
Indeed this exhibition was worth to visit and immerse in the world of Prada even it was for an hour or so.
Hope you have had a great New Year celebration! Have a good weekend and till the next post, stay chic!
