It has been a while since my last post on v-day outfit. Today is a special day, 29th Feb - leap year! Talking about leap year, I could not help but wonder how many women would propose to her desired man on 29th February. Hhmm... Perhaps I watch too much movies. Remember the movie Leap Year? It is a good chick flick.

1940s patterns

Lately I have been drawn to 1940s designs. The designs during that period are so lady like and demure. I have been thinking of purchasing of some 1940s patterns on etsy. Really nice and pretty patterns of dresses or clothes are expensive. But there are some affordable one as well. Here are some of my favourite patterns:

On second thought, I am thinking of trying my luck in drawing the patterns myself. I have not drawn any patterns for quite some time and hope these patterns would turn out fine. Keeping my fingers crossed.

4:3 or 3.5:3.5?

Girls just wanna have fun. This is so true. What if we only work 4 days and get 3 days off in a week. This would be good, right? Or better yet, work 3 and half days and get 3 and half days off in week. One is house chore day whilst the remaining days are dedicated for fun. Guess this would only happen in dreams. Sigh.

I guess most girls dream of owing a Chanel bag. And I am one of them. What I like about classic Chanel bags is that they are simple yet elegant. So chic. Such a timeless beauty. I am not sure how long I need to save to purchase one Chanel bag but I have seen similar quilted bag designs carried by other designers and fashion brands. Now, people have more options (financially) to consider or look into when thinking of purchasing Chanel inspired bag.

winter outfits

I have been wondering whether I could endure the coldness or chilliness of winter if I was abroad during winter. How would I dress up? Do I wrap myself up in thick sweater or jacket? Can I be fashionable and stylish at the same time yet do not freeze myself up? Hhmm... it would be interesting to find out.

turning point

Turning point: a moment when the course of events is changed. I have decided to change the course of my life. I wanted to get out of my comfort zone and explore the world more. To see the world in another perspective. Whatever path I am taking, I just hope at some point it would lead me back to fashion. To be able to involve fully in fashion is my ultimate dream.

Valentine's Day is around the corner. Excited? Here are my Valentine's day outfit wishlist... A mixture of styles; preppy and ladylike; modern and vintage. Anyway, what your plans for V day?

I guess I am still in holiday mood. Still not ready back to work. My outfit is more relaxed and casual instead of corporate-y suited for work. Anyway, I am ready to counting to the weekend. Two days to go!

I have been busy focusing on posting thrifted vintage clothes and bags until I have forgotten about decorations that I bought for my room. Lately, I have started to decorate my room and also to unpack some of my belongings (finally).

Here are new additions as room decorations;

A glass container which I think it is used to serve cookies for guests.

My room is about 80% to 90% decorated. Still have couple of DIY projects to do and then my room would be perfect or almost perfect. Can not wait till then.

kl bundle fest: a fantastic thrifting adventure

KL Bundle Fest was held last Saturday at Lot 153, Jalan Ampang which is near Pelita Nasi Kandar, KLCC. I did not really count the number of vendors but it was promoted that 30 vendors from Klang valley and other states. It was well merchandised fest with items such as clothes, shoes, bags, accessories, vinyl records and some books too.

Heaps of scarves, clothes... all you need to do is to dig, dig...

Some merchandise were sold at affordable or cheap price!

I am thankful that I have some ang pow money to spend. I have been thinking of adding my vintage brooches collection without purchasing through etsy. Not that I am boycotting etsy but it is easier to purchase locally and slightly cheaper too.

Purchased these two art deco inspired brooches from Jewel Rina. Check out its online store if you are interested in imported vintage accessories from the States. It is almost like shopping for vintage accessories on etsy.

And I bought these lovely frocks as well at a very affordable price from Tangerine Loft. Each piece has its own uniqueness which I can not resist to make them mine. I could not believe my eyes, when a vintage vendor informed me that there is a Marc Jacobs dress on the rack. I was thrilled that the dress is my size. Yay! A thrifted Marc Jacobs dress - what a treasure from the fest.

I did a little research on the dress, out of curiosity and interest. The dress could be from mid 1990s onwards. Here is what I found on WeConnectFashion site:

"In the Fall of 1993, Jacobs Duffy Designs, Inc. launched their licensing and design company: Marc Jacobs International Company, LP, and in 1994, the company signed its first licensing agreement with renown Look, Inc and Mitsubishi Corporation for distribution of the Marc Jacobs designer collection in Japan."

It was good fun and sadly I think I need to put my thrifting trips on hold for a while. I have just realised over the time I have purchased many, many lovely vintage pieces. Due to space constraint, I need to let go some of these vintage dresses and this means there will be an update on chic4less soon. Stay tuned!

Long weekend. No work on Monday and Tuesday. Yay! It's a good time for a break. What are your plans for the long weekend? I have no particular holiday planned but I am hoping to just simply relaxing and chilling out at home. Somehow, my look for today, made me feel like I am heading for a beach holiday.

Last night I came across a post about KL Bundle Fest on Tongue in Chic. Guess what? I went there after work! Will share about it, so stay tuned!

At times, there is no need to justify certain actions. Just follow your heart or intuition. As for today's outfit, I just felt like to dress up a bit so I put on my pearl necklace and a lovely brooch. It was a look suited for tea party instead for work...
