I am happy that I have invested wisely in this lovely pair of maroon pants from Mango. I grabbed this pair of pants at Mango Outlet in IOI Mall, Puchong one or two years ago. And the vintage polka dots top was quite a recent purchase. Today's outfit is simple with a nice pop of colour. Great pants, don't you think?

vintage sewing patterns

Recently I made a serendipitous discovery. I came across with a site dedicated to vintage sewing patterns. Vintage sewing patterns can be viewed by brand or by era. The other night, whilst browsing 1940s and 1930s sewing patterns, I was going oohs and aaahs at almost every sewing pattern I came across. As these are expensive to acquire, I have decided to draft my own patterns. Wish me luck!

Lately I am obsessed with things from the 1940s; clothes, hats, shoes and patterns. I watched another movie set in the 40s; The Good German few weeks ago. Although the movie is in black and white, whilst watching the movie I tried to imagine Lena's wardrobe in colour. The movie is set after the World War II but I think she has a great wardrobe. My favourite piece is her lovely frock in the second last photo.

Don't you just love detachable collars? They can change an outfit instantly. This floral top is a very simple top, with round collar. By adding the peter pan collar, the top looks fun and adorable.
