Hello, just wondering is anyone out there?

It's 2022 and I realised the last post was dated in April 2019. Only two post in 2019! This was the longest hiatus, ever. And I apologise for this. There has been a lot going on; new life in a new city and country, the pandemic, just to name a couple of the reasons. In addition to that, with different social media platforms in the cyberworld, I was torn whether to keep blogging or just focusing on Instagram (although my Instagram at that point as well as at the time of writing isn't focusing on vintage or thrifting at all). 

Out of the blue, I checked out my blog (last night) and had a stroll down the memory lane. I felt life back then seems more interesting and fun (not sure if this was due to the pandemic). Perhaps I should give this another go? Just enjoy the writing process and sharing experiences...

I'm curious and wondering, is anyone out there still blogging? If you, somehow, by chance stumble upon my humble little blog, thanks in advance for your visit.

I came across My Happy Sewing Place randomly whilst I was blog walking. This is a lovely blog and an inspirational to someone who love to sew like myself. Wish I could sew lovely pieces from 30s, 40s and 50s and wear them for outfit posts!

At times I wonder what is stopping me to start sewing (intensively)? No motivation, no time or just plain lazy? Or perhaps lack of confidence that my sewing skills has gone rusty over the years? Hhhmm... here is something to think about.

Colourful Buttons turns two

It has been a wonderful and amazing journey over these two years. I remember that Colourful Buttons is actually a trial-and-error blog which fortunately turned out to be my main blog, ever since I made my first entry on this day, way back in 2009. The other desired blog has been abandoned.

The initial purpose of blogging is to share my styling ideas and also to share some information on fashion. I treat my blog is my platform for me to write about fashion and styles as I wanted to become a fashion writer or fashion stylist at that time. Now, if you asked me if I wanted to pursue this, I would say no. Now, I would like to focus on learning to make vintage related things such as pillbox hat, vintage inspired clothes to name one or two things that are on my mind right now. At some point, it crosses my mind that I would like to get involve in selling vintage items, mainly clothes. But this is yet to be confirmed.

I never thought I could make friends in the blogging world. Gladly I did. I have got to know very inspiring and driven young ladies from thr5t. Wish you gals all the best with your endeavour! And also other stylish fashion bloggers from different parts of the world.

I hope you have enjoyed reading my entries as much as I have posted them. Suggestions or feedback in order to make Colourful Buttons a more interesting blog are welcome very much. Feel free to leave your comments.
