colour combo

This week's outfits are inspired by colours, especially spring palette. My favourite colour combos are mint + grey + pink, white + turquoise + pink, blue + yellow + grey, to name a few combos.  Thus, you may see some repetition of these colours used in (polyvore) outfits.

Do you have any favourite colour combo(s)?

soft pink top

the look: thrifted (vintage?) top, vintage belt, pants, thrifted granny loafers, necklace

Happy Wednesday! It is mid week and two more days to the weekend. Yay! For today's outfit, I am wearing soft pink top with light khaki coloured pants. It is a simple top but I love the embellishments of pin tucks and little laces. This ensemble channels spring vibe although it is always summer here. Anyway, don't you just love the pastel palettes of spring? I know, I do.

a little confession

wardrobe

cabinet cum dresser

low cabinet

Here is (sort of) a little confession. The above photos show how my vintages pieces are kept. I am kind of ashamed with how my vintage clothes are stored (folded and cramped onto shelves, not a pretty sight) whilst vintage bags, gloves and hat are nicely displayed in the glass door cabinet (refer third photo). I would love to hang all of my vintage clothes up but they are just too many and there is not enough hanging space in my wardrobe.

There is a process of storing my vintage clothes. I would separate  pieces that need alteration or fixing from 'OK' pieces. For 'OK' pieces, these will be washed and those need fixing will be stored in the cabinet cum dresser (refer second photo). These will be altered or fixed when I am free.

The 'OK' pieces are kept in the wardrobe (refer first photo) and are segregated accordingly; top shelf - have not worn yet and the other two shelves - already worn. My bags, regardless, new or vintage, are kept at the bottom shelf.

If you do not mind sharing, how do you keep your vintage pieces?

Happy Monday everyone! And hope you had a great weekend. I went to the flea market and bought few lovely vintage pieces. At first, I said to myself to limit my purchase(s) to RM15 for the day but instead I went overboard, beyond this limit. Initially I was on track. Bought two tops from bargain corner and I had some spare money. Later, when I hit the dresses racks, gasp a little, oh gosh, this red dress is just so lovely and so 1930s style. And then I saw the striped dress... Oh no, another pretty dress. I knew that once I have tried them on, it was hard for me to let them go. So in the end, the lovely frocks ended in my shopping bag. Happily broke till end of the month.

should i or shouldn't i

Weekend is here! How is your weekend so far? So far, so good, I hope. It has been a while since my last thrifting trip and I have been thinking whether to go to my favourite flea market tomorrow or not. Hhmm should I go or shouldn't I go.... My only concern is to return home with some vintage finds as I should be saving up for my next 'big' vintage purchase. Perhaps window thrifting? Or to limit to purchase one item only? Oh well, will make the decision tomorrow.

Have a nice evening and enjoy the rest of the weekend!
